Comcast, the cable firm, Broadcom, the networking chipmaker, and Ucentric Systems, an ISV, have partnered to test a home networking system that uses existing coax. Similar to the HomePNA networks that use ordinary phone lines, the venture is relying on the coaxial wiring that brings cable TV into the house.
