2002 SEP 25 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- VaxGen, Inc., (VXGN) announced that its biopharmaceutical manufacturing joint venture, Celltrion, Inc., has secured the purchase of 24-acres of land in Incheon, South Korea, for the site of its major biologics manufacturing facility.
Scheduled to be ready for commercial operation by late 2005, following extensive facility testing and evaluation, the South Korea facility will be used to manufacture VaxGen's AIDS vaccine candidates, if licensed, and for the contract manufacture of other biopharmaceutical products.
