Developers push to extend Loop as group tries to delay Ga. 400

As a Buckhead neighborhood tries once again to delay the Georgia 400 extension, developers are working to make the road even more of an economic windfall for Buckhead real estate projects.

Some developers are reportedly pushing to get the Buckhead Loop extended beyond Piedmont Avenue to East Andrews Drive at Roswell Road. The proposed Buckhead Loop will be a feeder road, funneling traffic from Georgia 400 onto Piedmont and Peachtree roads. In addition to the Loop, the city of Atlanta plans to build a "loopette," which will provide even more direct access to Buckhead businesses.
