This classic tale of a man "too proud to run" stars Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly in a film directed by Fred Zinnemann and written by Carl Foreman. Stoic lawman Will Kane (Cooper) brought peace and tranquility to the western town of Hadleyville, only to have the feckless and cowardly townspeople turn their backs on him when outlaw Frank Miller returned to exact his revenge. In the compelling "Town Meeting" scene, Will Kane faces an apathetic and complacent citizenry unwilling to stand up and fight. So Will goes it alone. A brilliant, moving tale of heroism and sacrifice. An American classic. Running time: 85 minutes.
