Major hotel franchise mulls addition of Seven Oaks Hotel

The Seven Oaks Hotel & Conference Center on Austin Highway soon will have a new name if a deal with a major hotel franchise goes through.

"We are an independently owned hotel, and we're intent on getting a franchise affiliation," said Lon Breedlove, assistant general manager of the hotel, this week. "One franchise is extremely receptive."

Breedlove declined to reveal the companies interested in attaching their name and logo to his hotel. However, he allowed that Seven Oaks is a resort-type complex -- complete with a nine-hole, par-three golf course and Olympic-sized swimming pool -- that attracts …
