Retail bankers target consumers with lifetime financial packages

San Antonio banks are using new weapons in the ravaging retail banking war. It is no longer enough to entice consumers through the glass doors. Today banks are fighting to keep the customers there.

In the past few years, banks and credit unions have developed package accounts that target a particular audience such as senior citizens, young professionals or young students.

While the packaged accounts are still a hot commodity in the banking world, their concepts are changing.

Instead of targeting one or two age groups during a particular segment of their career, banks are going after every consumer to try to be their financial institution …
