Overall, readers like GM's future concept cars. But can the General follow through?
No matter which one you're looking at, seeing GM's concept cars is like taking an emotional roller-coaster ride. Very forward-thinking and cool styling, but you just know that they would stuff it with a wimpy V6 and trim it in cheap plastic if they actually produced it.

GM's designers always seem to want to reinvent the wheel, as they pull wild concepts out of thin air with zero connection to automotive history. Sure, some people are attracted to these oddities, but GM would be well-served to pay closer attention to European design. GM needs to stop hiring designers from Michigan State and start tapping its international talent.
