Having effectively gained control over Slavneft, Sibneft is now reorganising the latter's subsidiaries ahead of the expected sale of a 19.68pc stake in the parent company later this year. The development has brought unexpected good news for Tyumen Oil (TNK), which appears to have stepped aside in the battle for Slavneft in order to make way for Sibneft.
