Creo is set to preview what it has billed as 'the first PDF end-to-end workflow solution for newspapers' at IfraExpo 2002.
The Prinergy Newsrun software has been designed for edition planning, page tracking and pairing within the newspaper production environment.
At the exhibition it will be shown in conjunction with a Trendsetter NEWS 200 platesetter, which will produce 200 plates an hour in a live demonstration on Creo's stand.
Prinergy Newsrun can impose single, paired and quad layouts and add all the required crop marks, page numbers, barcodes and other plate furniture.
The imposed files are then passed to the Prinergy workflow for ripping and trapping and then output to CTP.
Creo hopes the software will help newspapers to extend their close times for advertising, deal with last-minute changes more easily, and output large numbers of pages less expensively.
