Artisan Press, the Leicester-based web offset printer, grew turnover by almost 10% to pounds 48.5m in the year to 31 October 2001.

The firm's just-filed accounts for the period show, however, that pre-tax profits fell from pounds 2.47m to pounds 956,715. It also paid out dividends totalling pounds 400,000, leaving a retained profit of pounds 496,040.
