2002 SEP 5 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- New findings from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) about the risks of prescription hormone replacement therapies have left 6 million American women searching for alternative ways to relieve hot flashes, sleeplessness, and other uncomfortable symptoms of menopause.
For many, dietary supplements containing natural isoflavones from plants and other natural herbs to address hormonal imbalance may be the answer.
"The findings of this study negate the reasons why physicians have been recommending this HRT therapy to millions of women in the first place," said Ray Sahelian, MD, nutrition expert.
