The University of Michigan School of Information (MSI) has appointed Sue Davidsen managing director of the Internet Public Library (IPL). Davidsen, who until recently was a member of the interface design team at ProQuest, for eight years was director of the Michigan Electronic Library. She has served on the MSI faculty and will continue as associate director of academic outreach and practical engagement programs.

The major goal for the IPL, Davidsen told netConnect, is to become better integrated into the work and business of the School of Information. This includes developing a research component, as well as integrating faculty research and students into the IPL. "We …
