Polydor's head of radio Neil Hughes has been elevated to the newly-created position of director of promotion as his TV equivalent Iain Funnell lands a new director's role.

Hughes' responsibilities are expanded with immediate effect to both radio and TV in his new role, while Funnell assumes the new position of director of TV and media development which sees him continuing to head Polydor's TV promotions department.

Funnell also assumes the additional brief of developing and implementing a media development strategy for the company, looking at how it works with broadcast media. He will examine new business opportunities concerning synergies between music and television.
