Baby Bell forms software firm to be based in W. Va. panhandle

Bell Atlantic plans to combine its software systems development operation into one firm and locate the new entity in Morgantown, W. Va.

Bell is combining its Bell Atlantic Knowledge Systems and Technology Concepts Inc. Combined the two firms will have about 200 employees.

The new company will be part of Bell Atlantic's software group, providing systems integration and health care information management systems. William E. Miller has been tabbed to head the firm that has been dubbed Bell Atlantic Software Systems.
