Leo Burnett is to be investigated over alleged billing irregularities for its work on the dollars 150 million (pounds 96 million) US Army advertising account.
The investigations, spearheaded by the racial equality campaigner Congresswoman Carolyn Kilpatrick, come a week after Ogilvy & Mather looked certain to lose the prestigious dollars 125 million (pounds 80 million) US anti-drug campaign after alleged irregularities.
Kilpatrick is also investigating other government advertising contracts over billings, but has refused to reveal which ones are under scrutiny.
