RALPH Firman and Tsugio Matsuda of Mobil One Nakajima Racing clocked the fastest time of 2:00.445s, a scorching 0.742 better than second fastest Sebastien Philippe and Richard Lyons of Mugen-Dome Project in the GT500 free practice session of the Japan GT at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday.

The team, currently lying in fifth position with 23 points, is aiming for victory in what will be the first championship race outside of Japan, but at the same time is wary of the fast changing conditions at Sepang.
