2002 JUL 18 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- More than 6% of the 49,000 women screened in the pilot year of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals' (WYE)) bone mineral density (BMD) screening program were at high or moderate risk of developing osteoporosis and possibly a related fracture. By the end of 2002, the program will have offered a free BMD test to more than 70,000 women across the country.
