STATES URGE BAND TAX
Campaigns for permissive laws enabling municipalities to tax themselves for the maintenance of municipal bands are being urged actively in both Ohio and West Virginia. Locals who have been leading the campaign have had the support of the National Bureau for the Advancement of Music and the American Federation of Musicians, which have helped bring attention to the issue.
