The popularity of a musical instruments, for such may the Hohner harmonica justly be termed, is certainly proven in the number sold. Not only do Hohner harmonicas enjoy a very large sale in the U.S., but also in Europe and other foreign countries. During the 12 months of 1901, no fewer than five million were sold.

STATES URGE BAND TAX
Campaigns for permissive laws enabling municipalities to tax themselves for the maintenance of municipal bands are being urged actively in both Ohio and West Virginia. Locals who have been leading the campaign have had the support of the National Bureau for the Advancement of Music and the American Federation of Musicians, which have helped bring attention to the issue.
