Charles W. "Chuck" Slinkard, 66, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away at his home on Friday, April 5. During a 43-year career he made friends all over the world with his sharp wit, his keen understanding of the industry, and his scrupulous honesty. Born in Elkhart, Indiana, in 1936, Slinkard joined The Selmer Company in 1959 as an advertising assistant. The late 1950s and early '60s were heady times at Selmer as the company was poised to overtake C.G.
