* Harley-Davidson will see its 100th anniversary in 2003, but that doesn't mean it can't start celebrating this summer (a la Corvette). The party kicks off July 19-21 in Atlanta, the first stop of what The Motor Company is calling the ``Open Road Tour,'' a series of two- and three-day festivals held around the world over the next 12 months.
The big showcase of the tour stops (other than the bikes) is a concert series that promises a dozen big-name artists each weekend: names like Billy Idol, Bob Dylan, Ted Nugent and, of course, Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Alas, such fun is not free. U.S.-date tickets will cost $55/day; however, Harley intends to donate about $5 million of the proceeds to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Other U.S. dates include Aug. 16-18 in New Jersey, Sept. 6-8 in Los Angeles and Oct. 25-27 in Dallas. ...
