Be On Lookout For Pink Eye And Other Minor Eye Infections

Pink may be pretty, but it's a sign of trouble when it shows up in your eyes.

Pink eye is one of the most common eye infections. For most people, pink eye is a minor health problem--a nuisance that clears up in a few days with only minor medical treatment.

But for people with diabetes, this minor eye infection can lead to major eye problems if ignored and not properly treated.

Pink eye is an inflammation of the mucous membrane that covers the front surface of the eye.

The medical term for pink eye is conjunctivitis.
