Gentleman's agreement- reached Apple Computer has reached a "gentleman's agreement" with Outbound Systems in which Apple has agreed not to pursue any legal action regarding Outbound's possible infringement of Apple's patented technology. The agreement virtually assures that Outbound will be able to continue selling its clone of the Macintosh Portable.

Both Apple and Outbound refused to divulge the specifics of the agreement, but they did say that, contrary to industry rumors, Apple is not buying Outbound, nor will it license or sell its ROMs to the company.
