Epson goes for Mac with 11-by-17 inkjet
Torrance, Calif. -- Epson America Inc., a leader in the IBM PC and compatible printer market, has begun its assault on the Mac world with a new 300-dpi inkjet printer that can output to 11-by-17-inch paper.
Epson's EPI-4000, priced at $1,999, uses a 64-nozzle inkjet print head and alcohol-based, fast-drying ink to produce plotter-quality output on letter-, legal- and B-size paper.
