New global endometrial and other ablation products cutting into surgery, creating aggressive growth markets.(Brief Article)
2002 JUN 27 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Ablative technologies - the energy-based methods for destroying abnormal cell tissue - are displacing surgical applications and generating double-digit growth in systems and disposables sales.
According to "Market Opportunities in Ablation Technology, 2002-2010," just published by MedMarket Diligence, double digit growth is expected for ablation technologies in urology, oncology, gynecology, and cardiology.
"These technologies are demonstrating clinical efficacy of the sort that fuels rapid acceptance among clinicians and aggressive growth," said Patrick Driscoll, president of MedMarket Diligence.
