2002 JUN 26 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Antares Pharma, Inc., (ANTR) announced the results of preliminary human clinical studies performed with a new needle-free injection system that the company is developing. The new injector is unique in that it incorporates a drug-filled cartridge into the device for ease of use.
Two studies were conducted using human volunteers to demonstrate the effectiveness of the needle-free injection system, code named the MJ8. The key feature assessed was injection quality, and more than 500 injections were administered and evaluated. The preliminary results confirm that the device administers a high quality subcutaneous injection.
