A Children's Court judge will decide next week whether to approve a plea agreement tentatively reached in the case against a 13-year-old boy charged with raping and murdering a neighbor woman.

Mister Saunders is scheduled to appear Tuesday morning before Judge Geraldine Rivera for a pretrial conference in which the plea agreement will be presented, Assistant District Attorney Nancy Neary said.

Neary would not disclose the details of the agreement. Saunders' public defender, Darren Kugler, did not return a phone call to his office.
