American eyes new sites for satellite reservation centers

American Airlines may open reservation centers in San Antonio and Miami to handle its newly acquired Latin American routes.

"We are looking at the possibility of establishing a number of satellite reservation centers in the system," airline spokesman Al Becker said. "It is entirely possible that in the end we will choose both Miami and San Antonio. A Miami decision would not rule out San Antonio."

The Fort Worth-based airline already operates major reservation centers in Dallas/Fort Worth; Cincinnati; Hartford, Conn., and Raleigh-Durham, N.C. The company announced last month that it plans to …
