SANTA FE Public Regulation Commissioner Tony Schaefer was voted out as the panel's chairman today.

In a 3-1 vote that Schaefer would not recognize, Commissioners Lynda Lovejoy, Rory McMinn and Herb Hughes voted to remove Schaefer from the post.

Commissioner Jerome Block voted against the motion.

"Both Commissioner Block and I got a middle finger today," Schaefer said after the meeting adjourned.

Schaefer said he would take the matter to state Attorney General Patricia Madrid today.
