2002 JUN 20 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- NexMed, Inc., (NEXM) has received a notice of allowance for its U.S. patent application entitled "Compositions and Methods for Amelioration of Human Female Sexual Dysfunction".
The patent application covers the formulation and administration of Femprox, NexMed's topical cream for treating female sexual arousal disorder (FSAD). Femprox incorporates alprostadil, a vasodilator, with the NexACT platform drug delivery technology.
Dr. James Yeager, senior vice president for scientific affairs commented, "The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has stated that the claimed invention is deemed allowable over the prior art. We are very pleased with its decision to allow all of our pending claims for Femprox, which are supported by disclosed clinical data." ...
