2002 JUN 5 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Aerogen, Inc., (AEGN) announced that it has signed a cooperative research and development agreement with the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) relating to novel, inhaled vaccines targeted to counter certain effects of bioterrorism.
Under the agreement, Aerogen is providing the USAMRIID with modifications of Aerogen's Aeroneb Professional Nebulizer System (Aeroneb Pro), currently in development. USAMRIID will perform animal research studies utilizing the product with vaccines against biological warfare agents, for the ultimate purpose of developing improved immunization for military personnel.
