Our April 22 report on religious violence in India drew a huge response from sad and angry readers of all faiths. Some blamed the Sharia and Muslim "orthodoxy," others blamed Hindu fundamentalist politicians. Many simply lamented the death of secularism and Mahatma Gandhi's ideals.
