Looking for New Sources of Energy
Readers of our April 8/15 double issue were grateful for our examination of alternative energy sources. One reader wrote, "You cast a new light on our now not-so-dim future." Others hastened to suggest that we not overlook other options such as shale-oil deposits, fusion power and energy piles. While most agreed that no perfect solution exists, all urged that we continue the quest and, as one cautioned, "not be shortsighted if we want Earth to continue to be inhabited."
