New sponsors bring us closer to our R2m target If Rally To Read didn't have the official seal of approval before, it does now. National Education Minister Kader Asmal has agreed to join us on a rally next month, as well as senior education department officials. And Cyril Ramaphosa has become a sponsor in his personal capacity.

Provincial education departments already welcome Rally To Read's contribution to rural education. With too many schools and too little money, they recognise the importance of practical support from private-sector sponsors.
