China's Beijing announces preparations for 2008 Olympic Games.

Beijing, 28 March: Keeping to its commitment to staging a best ever Olympics, Beijing organizers has come up with a comprehensive and systematic plan to guide the preparation work for the 2008 Games.
The plan, which was released to the public on Wednesday [27 March], reconfirmed the city's pledge to deliver "Green Games, High-tech Games and People's Games" about six years later.
