China: Minister on opening up agricultural products market.

Beijing, 24 March: Minister of Agriculture Du Qinglin pointed out: China is a big agricultural country and the potential of its agricultural products market is tremendous. Further opening up China's agricultural products market within the framework of the WTO will enable China to make use of the great variety of its agricultural species and resources and abundant agricultural labour force, so that China and other countries can complement each other with their own agricultural resources in the international market and China can increase the export of its labour-intensive agricultural products.
