ZAMBOANGA : A US-led salvage team has recovered the bodies of five of seven US crewmen missing since their special forces helicopter crashed at sea in the southern Philippines last month, a US official said on Saturday.

Eight Army and two Air Force personnel were on board the helicopter when the accident occurred on February 22 over the Bohol Strait, about 660 km (410 miles) south of Manila. Bodies of three of the 10 were recovered soon after the crash.
