Singapore port operator posts 15 percent rise in February.

SINGAPORE : Singapore port operator PSA Corp Ltd facing a tough Malaysian challenge, said Tuesday its terminals handled 1.35 million 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in February, up 14.9 percent from a year ago.

The growth was slower than the 17.6 percent growth registered in January to a result of the long Lunar New Year holidays in many Asian countries, PSA said in a statement

Container throughput at its domestic terminals expanded 9.7 percent on the year to 1.25 million TEUs, also slower than the 11.4 percent rise in January.

Overseas throughput, including cargo handled in its Guangzhuo Container Terminal which began operations in July, grew 42.4 …
