KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) -- Two more financial institutions are expected to issue the Europay-MasterCard-Visa (EMV)) compliant multi-application smart card by the end of the year, said MasterCard International vice president and country manager Malaysia, Jim Cheah.

"Before the year is out, two more parties will come onstream," he told Malaysian reporters in Shanghai where the three-day MasterCard International Asia Pacific Annual Meeting was held from March 11 to 13.

Cheah declined to name the parties concerned.
