YEMENI GOVT PLEDGES HELP FOR FREED M'SIAN STUDENTS.

SEPANG, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- The 12 Malaysian students released from detention by the Yemeni authorities yesterday can seek help from the Yemeni government to enrol in recognised schools there, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said today.

He said the Yemeni government had pledged to help these students if they wished to continue their studies in Yemen.

According to Syed Hamid, the students, who were arrested by Yemeni authorities on Feb 19 and 20, did not commit any offence and were not involved in any political activities in Yemen.

All the students were now under the care of the Malaysian embassy there, he told a news conference here on …
