CMSB stays tightlipped over merger negotiation.

CAHYA Mata Sarawak Bhd (CMSB) remains tightlipped on merger talks that resumed last month between its banking arm and financial group Rashid Hussain Bhd (RHB), saying that announcements would be made at the appropriate time.

CMSB deputy chairman Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Taib stressed that revealing anything now would invite queries from Bank Negara Malaysia and the Securities Commission.

"But I can tell you that we are getting there," he said in Kuching yesterday. He added that announcements on the talks would be made at an appropriate time.
