Former Deputy Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko has accused the authorities of plotting to discredit her in her bloc's televised election broadcast. Tymoshenko called on voters to support either herself, former Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko's Our Ukraine bloc, or the Socialist Party led by Oleksandr Moroz. She added that the three would cooperate in the new parliament. The following is an excerpt from an election broadcast by the Yuliya Tymoshenko carried by Ukrainian television on 11 February:

[Voice over video of protests outside parliament, presidents Leonid Kuchma and Leonid Kravchuk] We don't want to live like this. We don't want to keep silent. We cannot tolerate criminals in power any longer. There are many of us and we care about our country. There are many of us and we will not pander to those who want us to grovel.
