ISLAMABAD : A case of harassment, bribery and corruption against the CBR officials has been found 'frivolous and false', and the Federal Tax Ombudsman, Justice Saleem Akhtar, has fined the complainant Rs 1,000.

The complainant, Hafiz Gulzar Ahmed of Faisalabad who made the allegations against the officials, did not pursue the case and later withdrew the complaint. The FTO, however, observed that the complainant must not make frivolous and false application and after making the complaint not to withdraw on false grounds or under pressure of the persons concerned.
