The World Bank plans to lend $300 million to $350 million to the Philippines in its next fiscal year ending 2003.
Finance Undersecretary Juanita D. Amatong said the amount will fund public finance reforms, a national community development program and the rehabilitation of conflict-affected provinces in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
"We're looking at roughly $300 million to $350 million in assistance from the World Bank for their 2003 fiscal year," Ms. Amatong told BusinessWorld in an interview at the sidelines of a joint meeting between state and bank representatives Tuesday. …
