APPOINTMENTS

The Boeing Co. named Robert Orr president of Boeing Japan. Orr will be responsible for all company business activities in Japan and will be based in Tokyo at the Boeing Japan headquarters. Boeing is the leading provider of commercial jetliners to Japanese airlines and a major supplier of military equipment to the Defense Agency. Orr joined Boeing from Motorola, Inc. He most recently served as vice president and director of European affairs. His previous positions have included vice president and director of government relations for Motorola-Japan and government relations director for Nippon Motorola in Tokyo. He has lived and worked in Japan for 16 years and is fluent in Japanese.

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW), the investment bank of Dresdner Bank AG, said Michael Gordon has joined its Tokyo office as director, credit derivatives trading. Gordon has more than 10 years of experience in investment banking in London and Tokyo. He joins DrKW after a year as a credit derivative trader at Enron Credit Limited, Japan, prior to which he worked for three years as a credit trader at Radobank, Japan. He has also worked as a credit research analyst at WestLB and Citibank in London. …
