Taipei, Jan. 30, 2002 (CENS)--Cheng Uei Precision Industry Co., Ltd., a local manufacturer of electronic wire & cable assemblies and components listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, reaped earnings per share (EPS) of NT$4.88 last year, the highest annual figure ever on record

Cheng Uei rang up revenue of NT$7.02 billion last year, jumping 65.57% form the NT$4.24 billion posted in 2000 and 19.39% in excess of the NT$5.88 billion projected for 2001. In the meantime, the company garnered pretax profit of NT$700 million last year, soaring 48.94% from the NT$470 million registered in the preceding year but lower than the NT$750 million estimated by institutional investors …
