The fastest-growing ethnic group in the Clark County School District has begun attracting the attention of universities and colleges in Nevada and around the country.
For the first time since its start in 1998, National Hispanic College Fairs Inc. stopped in Las Vegas. The event Thursday drew more than 1,000 high school juniors and seniors.
Students were bused to Desert Pines High School to meet with recruiters about the opportunities that await them should they pursue a college degree.
