Bratislava, 31 January: Late [on] Wednesday [30 January], Party of the Democratic Left (SDL) leader Pavol Koncos said some statements by Labour Minister Peter Magvasi do not represent the attitude of the party.

Magvasi told the press that the cabinet of Mikulas Dzurinda might fall in case the Slovensky plynarensky priemysel [SPP, Slovak Gas Industry] privatization-related demands of the SDL are not met.

Koncos explained that the SDL national board will adopt a final stand on eventual no-confidence motion in the cabinet; 12 February is the deadline for the ruling coalition …
