New York, 31 January: Iran's representative office in the United Nations Headquarters here on Wednesday [30 January] brushed off US President George W. Bush's allegations that Iran is trying to produce weapons of mass destruction and supports terrorism.

The press release, copies of which were distributed at the UN premises here, stressed that the accusations are inconsistent with the fact that Iran is a signatory to all chemical and biological weapons non-proliferation treaties including the comprehensive nuclear test ban treaty.
