Taipei, Jan. 23, 2002 (CENS)--Taiwan's debt capital market closed out 2001 with 66 deals in syndicated loans amounting to US$7.5 billion, according to a recent industry report. The number of syndicated loans denominated in the New Taiwan dollar totaled 52, valued at US$5.958 billion. Non-N.T. dollar denominated syndicated loans came in 14 deals totaling US$1.544 billion

Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney came out as the biggest lender in Taiwan's syndicated loan market last year
