Taipei, Jan. 22, 2002 (CENS)--Most people in Taiwan and offshore islands will be glued to their TV sets at 7:55 p.m. this evening to watch the emerging of winning numbers of the inaugural issue of computerized lottery as the top prize will reach around NT$100 million

Executives of Taipei Bank said the lotto fever generated NT$147 million betting money yesterday to lift the total amount to over NT$500 million. They estimated lotto buyers will infuse an additional NT$72 million today to boost the total figure to NT$583.3 million
